South West Norway

This was typical scenery and houses in the Jæren district of Rogaland. We wondered if the grass growing on the rooves helped insulate the houses. We were told by locals that this is the largest flat area of land in Norway so is where the farms (cattle, sheep crops) are concentrated. We passed lots of hydroponics and very large barns where they house their animals in winter (another foreign concept to us in Australia).
